It's time for another episode of The Expanded Spoilerverse, the Expanded Fandomverse spin-off show all about rumors & speculation, and filled with spoilers about upcoming Star Wars films. 

Hosted by Jason, he is joined by friend of the show, Mr. Dan White. Jason and Dan originally recorded this episode on December 4th. But, time got away from us before we could post it. So, Jason and Dan got back together to record a new opening on the 18th. A lot of new news, both official and rumor-y, had dropped between these dates, so the guys felt the need to comment on it all.

This time around, Jason and Dan take an in depth look at the new teaser trailer for The Force Awakens.  They compare what we've seen to what we've heard from the rumor mill.  So, if you're one of those fans who doesn't want to be spoiled before you see the film, then we recommend that you stay away from this episode!

THE EXPANDED SPOILERVERSE - EPISODE 001 "The Force Awakens!"

OK, we're trying something new, something special!

For the longest time, Jason has wanted to sit down and record a special spoiler-centric episode of Scum & Villainy.  Well, this week, Jason had his wish granted!  He sat down with our old friend, and contributor to the show, Dan White, and they talked about nothing but spoilers!  They had a great time for just about 90 minutes, and while I wasn't part of the show (as loyal listeners will know, I am not a spoiler type of guy), I still managed to pop in at the end.

This conversation was recorded last Wednesday, November 5th.

Well, before we could release the episode, Lucasfilm decided to finally tell the world the title of the next Star Wars film, The Force Awakens!  Now, being the responsible podcasters that we are, we felt that we just had to take a moment and comment on this red letter day in Star Wars history.  So, Jason and I recorded an addendum to this episode of Scum & Villainy, and stuck it on the beginning of the show.

Jason assures me that this episode turned out great!  (I cant listen to it, what with the spoilers, rumors, speculation and all.)  So great in fact, they he and Dan hope to make these spoiler-centric shows a reoccurring monthly deal.  Well, since this will be a regular feature of the Expanded Fandomverse, it didn't feel right to just lump it in with all the other Scums & Villainy episodes we've done.  So...

We have decided to give these show the long, slightly unwieldy title of  THE EXPANDED FANDOMVERSE  PRESENTS: THE EXPANDED SPOILERVERSE.  (But you already knew that didn't you, because you read it above.)

And, because these shows are special, and because they are so good and so much fun, we have decided to drop them into our RSS feed.  So, if you subscribe to the show on iTunes or Stitcher, you will see these episodes show up along with our regular Expanded Fandomverse episodes.
